Dennis Gage, MD, FACP

Dr. Gage is a graduate of NYU Washington Square College, where he graduated Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from the NYU School of Medicine in 1976. His residency was served at Mt. Sinai Hospital of New York and he completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition at St. Luke's Medical Center. He is currently a Board Certified Diplomate in the specialty of Internal Medicine and in the sub-specialties of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Clinical Nutrition.

Dr. Gage is affiliated as an Attending Physician at Lenox Hill Hospital. He is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York University. Dr. Gage has authored numerous articles and research papers on obesity which have appeared in prestigious medical journals. He is a member of professional organizations - The Obesity Society, FACP-Fellow of the American College of Physicians, ADA - American Diabetes Association, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association. Dr. Gage is on the Medical Advisory board of Laniado Hospital Diabetes Center in Israel and Camp Shining Stars, a weight loss camp for adolescents in North Carolina

The Permanens™ Lifestyle Change Program (PLC) and Permanens™ Weight Management System (WMS) were developed by Dr. Gage. WMS was created to induce permanent weight maintenance. Dr. Gage is the author of the book, The Thinderella Syndrome: A Practical Guide to Individualized Permanent Weight Loss. Dr. Gage has been in clinical practice for over 27 years and has successfully implemented the PLC Program in his New York City Park Avenue Office for over 16 years.

Clifton M. Jackness, M.D.

A graduate of Yale University, Dr. Jackness earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, as well as a Fellowship in Endocrinology, Bone Disease, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Jackness is licensed in New York and is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and Internal Medicine. He has been recognized with awards in clinical skills, compassionate care, and teaching.

As a keen researcher, Dr. Jackness has been involved in projects investigating Type 2 diabetes and obesity, as well as the hormonal changes that take place after bariatric surgery. He was selected to present his work at the American Diabetes Association, New York Academy of Medicine, New York University, Columbia University, and the Obesity Society. In addition, Dr. Jackness has been a chosen speaker at the New York Thyroid Club.

Dr. Jackness is an Attending Physician at Lenox Hill Hospital and The Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the New York Thyroid Club, the Metropolitan New York Bone Club, the Medical Society of the State of New York, the New York County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.

Richard Janof, DC, CDN, CDE
(Dietitian-Nutritionist, Certified Diabetic Educator, Chiropractor)

Dr. Richard Janof graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Biology. He also graduated from New York Chiropractic College with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and is licensed to practice Chiropractic in New York State. In addition, Dr. Janof graduated from New York University with a Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition. He is a Board Certified Diabetic Educator and a New York State Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist. Dr. Janof is a member of Kappa Omicron Nu Nutrition Honor Society and Phi Chi Omega Chiropractic Honor Society.

Dr. Janof is a member of the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Diabetic Educators, and the Society for Nutrition Education.

Dr. Janof provides nutritional and behavioral counseling on a group and/or individual basis. He also provides exercise counseling. Dr. Janof teaches classes for the Permanens™ Lifestyle Change Program. He trains diabetic patients on the use of diabetic insulin pumps and educates them on the use of pump therapy. In addition, Dr. Janof sees patients for Chiropractic therapy.
